Tractor Details:
I have known about the JB Dewar Tractor Restoration Education Program for several years and have always seen the tractors in our local Pioneer Day Parade every October in Paso Robles, CA. I’ve always wanted to be a part of the program and felt with all my experience I could do well with a tractor of my own. When I decided to do the program it was a little scary, because it is such a big project with a lot to learn and do on my own. My family and friends were excited to hear I was doing this project and they have stood by me every step of the way. I started by taking the tractor apart and getting an inventory on what parts were missing or if it was in bad condition. It took me a while to find a new engine block. I had to completely overhaul the engine and electrical system. Once I got the fuel system, electrical system, and engine put back together I was able to start the tractor then get all the bugs worked out. I then did the body work and then painted the tractor.
