Tractor Details:
For the past eleven months, I have been restoring a 1947 Allis Chalmers B. I did a complete engine overhaul and fully restored this tractor from the wheels up. I used original parts, parts from salvaged tractors and also purchased some new parts to complete this restoration. By disassembling and restoring this tractor, I have learned the inner workings of an engine, transmission, final drives, PTO, oil pump and how everything works together in sync in order for the tractor to run. I have learned many valuable, employable skills as well as life lessons. One of the biggest skills that I learned this year was painting. I bought a blow-up paint booth, a compressor, and a paint gun so that I could paint the tractor by myself at home. I will be the first to admit that painting is much more difficult that it appears to be.
I take great pride in the restoration of my 1947 Allis Chalmers B and I am appreciative of the opportunity to do this restoration.
