This tractor was provided to me by the JB Dewar Tractor Restoration Education Program. I restored this tractor in my home shop, with the help of my parents. My biggest goal going into this restoration process was to do absolutely everything I could on my own and at home. The start of this restoration consisted of a lot of degreasing and removing old grime. I disassembled the tractor completely and sandblasted parts down to bare metal. I did all the repairs to the sheet metal, some which were more damaged than others. I learned correct painting techniques so that I would be able to personally paint my tractor at home. The research aspect of the restoration was huge, from finding period correct parts, to the color of paint and safety decals. Reassembly was the most enjoyable part, seeing all of my hard work come together. Although there were obstacles and set backs during this restoration, I persevered and it was well worth the challenge. Thank you Chevron for this opportunity!
